I bought the Yamato for a cosplay, I'm in love with it but there's only 1 catch, the piece in the middle of the scabbard that holds the string came loose and slid around, no biggie, some Krazy Glue and it'll be unnoticeable, but when you get yours just look over the pieces and make sure they're all settled, would buy again!Sword is amazing! Everything I hoped for and more! Minor imperfections on the sheath and handle but nothing to bothersome! My only concern is that I only received one peice for the katana display stand and am missing the rest. Other than that this was well worth the wait!So I definitely was disappointed just HOW UNSHARP the sword was, I figured when it said not sharp it was at least a faux edge and not the centimeter thick edges that came on mine, but for the weight and the sturdiness of what I got, I'm surprised I dint pay more for it. It's got amazing quality and attention ton to detail that I absolutely love about it.Also, I dunno about anyone else, but I paid for an item that said it had a WOODEN scabbard, and I got this kinda crappy leather sheath. Not a turn down for me since it was the sword I was buying, but I expected to have an actual scabbard for this thing. Not something that'll rip apart in the next 6 months. This is a great item but fair warning, it is *very* hard to swing around if you were to use it like you would a normal sword because most of the weight it seems is more on the blade/guard of the sword and because of the weight and size of it, requiring a great deal of strength to swing normally, plus the pommel (if you're not careful) will poke you depending on how you swing it. But all in all, the sword is very sturdy for the price and looks amazing on the wall with the mount it came with, the only possible thing I could complain about is a minor, unnoticeable chip on aforenentioned wall mount but it's a minor inconvenience that can only be seen if you're looking for it. With that being said, if you like Devil May Cry and you want to get a sword that looks and feels awesome without spending too much money this is the way to go.I got the sword for my fiance as I used it to propose to him on his bday in early October. Well he's fiance now so he said yes. He loves it, his mom and step dad loves the sword, and his friends are trying to figure out how to get their gfs or wives to now buy them a sword for Christmas. My older sister likes it an even wants one lol.The only slight issue we have is the sheathe that holds the sword. Take the leather peice off the pointed end of the sword before you put it in the sheathe, he got it stuck in there deep an we can't get it out.Oh the sword is heavy and long. I'm 5'7 and the sword is 4'11 maybe give or take, my fiance is 6ft. While he can move the sword and knows its not meant for full on swinging it around, it needs to hands unless you have actually training. My fiance had sword training for singe an 2 handed swords but not for one this heavy as the maker went to scale for Dante's size as they should.Neather the less, its perfecf and we will very much show case it at our wedding. :3First things first: this sword is really freakin' heavy.Six pounds over fifty inches for a sword is deceptively heavy. If you wanted to swing this around effectively, you'd need great upper body strength. That said, the sword itself is fantastic. It's built very solidly and is a fantastic wall decoration.Being wall decor, the sword isn't sharpened and in all honesty I wouldn't recommend using it as a sword anyway due to its weight and length. But all in all? Fantastic. I'd recommend this to any DMC fan.I was honestly surprised with the quality of the blade. It looks like Dante handed you rebellion himself. The length of the blade is also no joke. Overall 100% worth it.
